Frantic fettling in February and March is often a frenetic workshop activity as we realise that the racing season is about to start and never more so this year as our competition customer base expands. Our own XK150 Coupe - `Puffin` - now enters its sixth season at the hands of our Chairman, Graham Love, and development this winter has centred upon improvements in handling. Amongst other competition XK`s going through our workshop are Mike O`Shea`s well-known XK150 Roadster, Richard Hackett`s desirable, lightweight, `Jim Tester` XK120 Roadster and an XK140 Coupe, built by Trevor Groom and now for sale in our Classic Showroom. But our involvement doesn`t end there.

LOE 3 - our historic XK120 Roadster rallied throughout the 1950`s - now has its FIA Historic Technical Passport (HTP) and will see action in the occasional drum-braked events whilst our wonderfully eccentric Jaguar Mk7 Saloon is being prepared for the Goodwood Revival in September. Our ultra-rare Jaguar XKSS will also be campaigned later in the season. If you want to know more about how we can improve your XK, given the benefit of our long, hands-on, experience just give Peter Hugo a call on 01252 894786, or, better still, pop in for a browse, a chat and a cup of coffee. |
