As leading specialists in the sale and maintenance
of Classic Jaguars - from
XK's and E-Types to XJ saloons and XJS's - our
knowledge and enthusiasm is
deep and extends to most quality UK marques, both
pre and post war, with
first-hand experience spanning four decades. Our
enthusiasm is evident from
the minute you walk into our showrooms and we take
as much pride in our
selection and presentation of good quality stock
as we do with our
engineering abilities.
Buying and owning a classic
car of any sort is, for many, along-held dream,
but with
that dream there can be pitfalls. By consulting
with Peter
Hugo, who
oversees
our Classic
Sales - and discussing maintenance costs
and implications with our engineers - BEFORE
you buy
your car, subsequent
ownership should be a more enjoyable one, secure
in the knowledge that our
classic team takes a personal interest in both
the customer and the car.
With our active involvement
in Club Motor Sport - we race a Jaguar XK150
a Jaguar Mk7 saloon and an XJS - we have a wealth
of experience in
the tuning and modification of both the XK, AJ
and V12 engines. Our ultra-rare
1957 Jaguar XKSS - the road-going Jaguar D Type
- was rebuilt comprehensively
in our workshops for the prestigous Mille Miglia,
completing the gruelling
1,000 mile event without even so much as an adjustment
to its multi-plate
competition clutch.
The Racing Green
C-Type -
the world's
most accurate
recreation
of this charismatic Le Mans winning sports-racing
car of
the early 1950's - is a
further example of our enthusiasm for and appreciation
of perfection.
Such perfection comes at a price, but "what
price perfection?"
As a complete contrast
to our inherent appreciation for originality
and
purism,
our Beacham
Jaguars -
the Mk2 and the E-Type - cater for a small, but
steady, demand for an 'every-day usable' classic.
Built to order in
New Zealand, these cars are fully restored to
the highest standards and
upgraded with extras that can even include airbags
and satellite navigation.
New and pre-owned examples are often held as
part of our classic stock.
Our Classic engineering
section - under the guidance of Chris Window
- has huge
experience in all Jaguars from the '50s to '80s
and it knows the XK 6 cylinder
and V12 engines inside out. From air conditioning
to 4 wheel alignment,
from race engines to perfectly balanced wire
wheels, Racing Green Cars are able
to resolve any problems related to your Classic
Jaguar. In addition to full
servicing and comprehensive overhauls, we also
offer upgrades to rectify
inherent design weaknesses.
For your own peace
of mind, if you have just purchased a car, we
offer an
Inspection & Assessment Survey, usually lasting
about three hours, enabling us
to provide you with a detailed report and a scheduled
maintenance programme
to suit your budget.
High quality bodywork and
paintwork is undertaken on site by our bodyshop
team.
Correct preparation, quality application of
paint and careful refitting of
panels ensure the best possible results to
create a car that looks 'just right'.
We are closely
connected with the premier Jaguar clubs such
as the XK Club,
the E-Type Club, Jaguar Enthusiasts and Jaguar
Driver's and enjoy an excellent
relationship with them. These clubs organise
a wide assortment of events from
area meetings, to Continental Rallies and
serious Motor Sport. There has never
been more going on in the Classic Jaguar
world to enable you to get maximum
use from your pride and joy. By talking with
enthusiasts we are able to gauge
what is required to further improve your
enjoyment of owning a classic Jaguar.
So welcome,
to our Classic Team. If you have any
queries we are
on hand to chat them through whether it
be sales or maintenance.
Better still: pay us a visit and
just soak up the atmosphere! |
